The Subterra Max Tier 22 handhole in the 24x36x24 internal size is the core enclosure in Norvant’s flagship heavy-duty line, engineered for roadways, shoulders and other high-load environments. A tough HDPE base is paired with an Impact Modified Resin lid reinforced with ArmorGalv-coated steel cross tubes, giving the structural confidence of concrete at around 108 lb, so a small crew can place it without lifting gear. At 24 by 36 by 24 inches internally, this size handles the majority of everyday splice, slack and drop work while leaving headroom for growth. A straight-wall, anti-heaving ribbed base locks the unit into backfill, resisting heave and settling after install. The enclosure accepts cable management, an optional locating puck for buried identification, and a custom logo plate or color for standardization across a build. Engineered to exceed ANSI/SCTE 77 Tier 22, BABA and BEAD compliant and RUS pending, this size is ready for federally funded fiber and smart-infrastructure programs.
